Just wondering if anybody has used Meetup.com to expand their social circle?
Seems like a good way of meeting people with similar interests in your area. I notice there's an SQL Bristol Group which provides a forum for discussing SQL Server in a social setting - they seem like a fun bunch.
There's nothing to stop me from setting up my own group either.
I've seen a few local Knights of the Garter that I'd like quite to rub up.
One of them is a very big fellow indeed.
Yes, he's stretched out on a ledgerstone in the chancel of our local church and I quite fancy immortalising him in a brass rubbing; a hobby I pursued quite enthusiastically back in the day.
Were any of you into brass rubbing or frottage?
Not sure what to call my group - I just want to attract an inneresting bunch of like minded folks with whom I can easily rub along with - though Bristol Frottage has a certain ring to it.
What do you think?
