I'm on my 2nd henry/harriet. The first was the old metal cased henry. I did change the motor on it but it eventually packed in and was no longer viable. It was probably 25 years old and had performed fantasticOriginally posted by WTFH View PostYou never see a builder with a Dyson. They all use Henry. The harriet was bought as a replacement, its used for cleaning the cars, cleaning out the fire, and also for building work.Comment

They are also utterly indestructible, and never break down. Unlike the last Dyson we had, which broke down more times than Gwyneth Paltrow.Originally posted by WTFH View PostYou never see a builder with a Dyson. They all use Henry. Put it this way, with a Henry you could hoover up a house brick, and it would politely cough at you; show a Dyson some cat hair and it has a nervous breakdown.
Oh, and Chard is actually in Somerset, unless you meant Chardonnay, there's a few of them in Devon...

I stand corrected. It’s not far over the border - we sometimes go to the Tytherleigh Arms which is just down the road from there. Good food, Otter and normally an interesting gin & rum selection.Originally posted by Mordac View PostOh, and Chard is actually in Somerset...…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

My dad swears by Otter and Badger, and he swears even more when neither are available...Originally posted by WTFH View PostI stand corrected. I prefer Palmers 200 (or Copper) when I’m down that way, but they are from Bridport, so no chance of getting them in Devon or Zummerzet.Originally posted by Mordac View PostEasy mistake, my folks are not far away, and the border meanders a bit.
