My dad used to tell me: you'll never see a rich gambler. And mostly we all know that's true.
But the government won't ban or discourage gambling, for the same reason it doesn't ban smoking altogether. If anyone believes the government gives a sh1t about broken homes or crime or anything bad linked to gambling, then I'm sorry to say they are mistaken. The only thing the government cares about is tax receipts.Comment

I had to self exclude myself from some online sites recently as after a bottle of wine I was making some horrendous bets / losses. I recently did a quick mental calculation and I've probably lost 250-300k minimum over the last 25 years.What happens in General, stays in General.You know what they say about assumptions!Comment
