Everything prior to 1993 was EEC (or EC for a while), not EU. Everything after that was under a Europhile PM, and aside from pushing for ex-Soviet bloc countries to join - which was for political reasons and made some sense at the time, everything else since then on your list was stupid, bar the "extra opt-outs" which were Schengen and the Euro, and we were (hopefully) never going to join either.

I thought that enshrining in EU law that Britain would never have to join in further political union while still having access to the single market was quite a good one.
Sadly because of the crass shouting of the Brexit cretins it was completely overlooked.

Everything prior to 1993 was EEC (or EC for a while), not EU. Everything after that was under a Europhile PM, and aside from pushing for ex-Soviet bloc countries to join - which was for political reasons and made some sense at the time, everything else since then on your list was stupid, bar the "extra opt-outs" which were Schengen and the Euro, and we were (hopefully) never going to join either.
