I'm getting tired of explaining this to recruiters, when will they understand I want at least a 20-30% premium on my UK day rate for the hassle.

And why should they want UK contractors? They will pay a rate to attract people - whether they come from UK or anywhere else.
The UK is going to have to fight for its place in the world.Comment

Perhaps because you're thinking in £'s. Albeit UK agents I've noticed also charge more % for their services.
Hays are pretty decent if you find yourself a good contact. Have negotiated deals in the past with them."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment
