I feel like the only silence that should be observed is the one on Remembrance Day. I'm not trying to diminish the significance of what happened last week but the point of the national silence is to remember and be thankful to those who gave up their lives fighting for our freedom.
This fire was a tragedy and lessons need to be learned but I actually think having these extra minutes' silences diminishes Remembrance Day and there is really no comparison between the two events.Comment
