Interestingly enough, though, guru wrote the first post and then disappeared.

I remember when I was in high/secundary school a friend of mine used to write insults on the class registry. He told me he also wrote the phrase "(HIMSELF) is a ******" so that people believe it couldn't have been him to write all these insults. He was quite right as an investigation was launched on all the people who were not made fool of. Can the same logic apply here?

Seriously, Lucy we live very near and we have probably bumped into each other sometimes already. But I don't want to meet him or else we will start a cooking competition. Or possibly the fact that they have been lurking for sometime without registering - we always have far most guests viewing the forums than members.

Once Lucy and SallyAnne registered and got a reasonable welcome they decided to join too.

I could understand why some folks would be intimidated by some of the attitudes and flame wars that go on around here sometimes.

I know me and Lucy have both thought about leaving actually (probably more than once actually), but we've both always PM'd each other and ended up staying. Especially with the great blokes out there who we actually have a brilliant banter with all day long.

It was wierd me and Lucy joining at the same time, but I take that as a sign of fate that we're destined to have a mad, belter of a piss up in London on the 19th together

ok, here is what we do:

a) I give a link to a website that will issue unique ID to whoever goes there
b) Lucy, Tonic and other new members go there and PM me the Unique ID they had
c) I then compare IP addresses from which requests came - UK only will count, and proper IPs of ISPs - no proxy servers will count.

This would confirm or deny that lots of posts now come from a multiple accounts that actually belong to the same person - once we sort this one out we can move to question of gender, but I think it won't be necessary

SallyAnne reacts like a female, talks like a female, and talks as much as a female, so I am in no doubt that she is a female.

Lucy mostly reacts like a female, talks like a female, but occasionally comes out with expressions that only a male would utter. So I am not sure.

After all that, I really don't care. I use this site to share information with people going through the same experiences as me - it is not a substitute for having real friends
