      Some of my school friends went to a poly in 1989 and graduated from a university in 1992. Seemed a bit unfair really.

        It made no difference until about the late 90s as employers still knew who the newer universities were so avoided or recruited from them as required.

            Also have known a few people who went to Oxford Brookes University (was Oxford Poly). They don't worry too much about correcting people that don't know the difference.
