You'll regret it if they do get in - if you think the Tories are greedy tax-grabbing scum, you're in for a rude shock with the LibDooms. They won't get in though, so you've wasted your cash - think of the squirrels man, think of the hungry squirrels.Originally posted by AtW View PostJust donated them £1500 - more to follow, if you are reading this - you are the Resistance!

Under LibCon Govt we had reduction in top rate of tax (and corresponding reduction in dividend tax) from 50% to 45%, at the time Tory Scum claimed that it was Lib Dems who prevented them from going back to 40% rate.Originally posted by Mordac View PostYou'll regret it if they do get in - if you think the Tories are greedy tax-grabbing scum, you're in for a rude shock with the LibDooms. Fastforward to Tory Scum Govt and we get massive hike in dividend tax (despite assurance that income tax rates won't change and that in my view had direct link to dividend taxes), effectively now top rate of tax on dividends is WORSE than it was under Labour.
Fecks sake, Tories even tried to increase NICs in direct violation of their own manifest, which apparently nobody in the cabinet remembered at the time decision was made!Comment

What I admire most about the Lib Dem Opposition Scum is that they're opposition scum. What I admire second-most about the Lib Dem Opposition Scum is that they're neither liberal nor democratic and they treat all manifesto promises as "suggestions", so they're perfectly placed to promote themselves to Gov't Scum. It's a shame, then, that they'll languish as Her Majesty's Fourth Opposition Scum with 20-30 seats. If they really want to win some seats, Tiny Tim will need to form an evangelical coalition against chaos and fully embrace the Second Coming, because we all know that's a vote winner!Originally posted by AtW View PostUnder LibCon Govt we had reduction in top rate of tax (and corresponding reduction in dividend tax) from 50% to 45%, at the time Tory Scum claimed that it was Lib Dems who prevented them from going back to 40% rate.

This country needs to have coalition Govt at all times, it's too risky to have majority Govt - whether it's Tory or Labour, or even Lib Dems - too much of a rick for citizens to take, therefore any party other than Tory/Labour needs support now.Comment

What we need is Proportional Representation, but sadly we will never get it.Originally posted by AtW View PostThis country needs to have coalition Govt at all times, it's too risky to have majority Govt - whether it's Tory or Labour, or even Lib Dems - too much of a rick for citizens to take, therefore any party other than Tory/Labour needs support now.
