Meanwhile British companies are moving jobs abroad...
"Microlase, it turns out, employs 428 and sells software for transport fleets, among them DHL and JCB, importing and exporting to the EU. They have now set up a subsidiary to move some staff and their headquarters to Paris to stay in the single market: France will take the £6m a year in tax that now goes to the UK exchequer."
from Now the battle line is drawn before Theresa May’s car-crash Brexit
One of my clients is moving ~100 IT jobs to Spain. These things add up, and this is just the IT sector. You're awesome! Get yourself a t-shirt.Comment

Originally posted by chopper View PostNever ceases to amaze me that scooterscot, sasguru and atw believe we are actually heading for an ultra hard Brexit.
We are getting a transitional deal from 2019 (BAU ahead of a Free Trade Agreement), we are paying the money for that (of course we are)...
And then there will be a General Election in 2020. Thereafter, the transitional arrangement will become a permanent arrangement, probably via an EFTA/EEA agreement.
There will be no hard Brexit. We will be EU members in all but name.
The political posturing right now is nothing other than that.
But it is quite funny watching scooterscot, sasguru and atw squirm, to be honest.
HTH, BIKIW.Hard Brexit now!

PS: on that point on Turkey..
Becoming increasingly unstable. Greece is even feeling the heat more than usual. The EU currently celebrate the peace enjoyed for many years. And here we are, stirring the pot by leaving whilst selling weapons to the protagonists.
What more evidence do we need. Governments like ours are evil."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment
