^ This. The new offer beats the tulipe the current client is offering. Leave. After a week no-one at the current client will care / remember anyway. -
First things first, I'm a she and no I've never seen a fat lazy Contractor naked. I'm not into alt.contractporn.
My notice period a week, and yup some people are going to be pissed off. But, they are failing to deliver. I'm working on a migration project and we're already several weeks late in getting the hardware but the PM/senior management refuse to budge the completion date.
I guess I'm going to walk, my notice is 1 week. I'm on a hiding to nothing tbh. If anyone want to sub on a crap project that's gonna fail just apply here
I have a substitution clause.
My thoughts are take on a new project that will run smoothly and ditch this one which is destined to fail. There is not even an architect involved, and the PM is virtually uncontactable.
Maybe this should be moved to Contracts, I'm new and thought it would be a general thing as it's more a personal issue than a contract specific issue.Comment

Thanks for the positive posts, it's certainly food for thought even though I'm pretty sure my mind is made up.Comment

First things first fat lazy contractor was an old forum member who was male and ended up getting a ban.Originally posted by Spuggie View PostFirst things first, I'm a she and no I've never seen a fat lazy Contractor naked. I'm not into alt.contractporn.
Second things second don't take posts in General literally. Posts in General are not serious and we often insult each other therefore if you wanted to post a serious post you needed to have posted it in another section of the forum. You are actually warned before posting in this part of the forum that this part isn't serious.
And thirdly if you think you should walk then do so. You owe no company loyalty.Originally posted by Spuggie View PostMy notice period a week, and yup some people are going to be pissed off. And finally good luck."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

I knew what I was up for posting in general, hence saying I'm not up for Contractor porn. It was meant in jest, I'm not offended easily.
I like the idea of blocking the bog on the way out. A gift that will keep on giving?
I guess it's a general consensus to walk then? I'd rather their project screws up after I leave, not when I'm responsible for it.Comment

I can't believe you're even thinking about asking the Q. It's got "No Brainer" scrawled all over it in crayon and everything.Originally posted by Spuggie View PostI knew what I was up for posting in general, hence saying I'm not up for Contractor porn. It was meant in jest, I'm not offended easily.
