No, nothing like that. We did also have a large number of refugees housed in an office block between our two sites. This particular refuge had families in it and they had literally *nothing* with them. They were always polite when you met them on the streets and were taking lessons in German and in German integration. I'm sure that there are places that are choc-full of young men but the refugees that I have seen here have been families.

It is entirely possible that the Mail was making tulip up about Peruvian Jewish refugees.

I have an Afghani and a Syrian working for me over here. Their German and English are perfect. They both escaped their countries a few years ago and watch the news with sadness. They don't match the daily wail stereotype either.

Try telling that to the great unwashed back in the UK. You'll only receive ignorant soundbites in return. It is rather incredible how ignorance has been allowed to dominate as it has. The media holds much of the responsibility.

Remember that story during the Iraq war where the Wail published a picture of a solider of her HM armed forces peeing on a captive. Only to turn out that they made up the entire thing. The readers lapped it up nonetheless. Who knows what limits they set themselves now.

Indeed it is possible. However as we have seen recently about migration not all is as it seems. Many 'refugees' are actually economic migrants, why would it have been different then?

As to pushing forward to grab aid it was a frequent occurrence on the ground in Africa in the present day.Manners go out the window when people are hungry.
