    Unemployment at seven-year high

    Unemployment at seven-year high

Well Mr Gordon self adulating Brown. We all know Tony Blair's legacy is stuffed. It looks like yours is going in the same direction now. Just as soon as you take over the reigns at No10, the true measure of your naive economics will be realised.

Such a shame your talent never came close to matching your arrogance.

I think the really worrying bit is...

the rise in the UK population led to the number of people actually in work increasing by 56,000 over the quarter to 28.9 million.
I wonder how many of these 56,000 new jobs were filled by British nationals.

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

Not even John Reid, after a period of consultation, is going to save us.

        Doomed!

Boomed - just like the housing market
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

Doesn't matter. The fight against terror would be Gordon Brown's "first priority" if he became prime minister

Enough of this economy stuff! Onward and upward!

It makes a lot of people angry and rightly so.

The spin machine keeps serving up the same old tripe

              "It's good for the economy"
Who's economy I say ? For bosses yes, without a doubt it's good for their economy.

What about employees, is it good for their economy ? The answer there is obvious. No. It is very bad for their economy.

              "We need the skills"
Errrr, no. The missing caveat here is "at rates more in line with the minimum wage".

"There are big gaps in the more unskilled labour market"
Errr, no. There was & has never been a shortage of unskilled labour.

As and when increasing volumes of skilled and less skilled indigenous Brits lose their livelihoods to immigrants, shortly followed by their homes as well. There's no better recipe for considerable civil strife.

              The test here is simple.

If the UK was being swamped by tens of thousands of journalists, broadcasters and lawyers; would we still be hearing the jolly old "it's good for the economy" spin ?

You might as well slash your wrists. Go on, you know you want to.
