Blakes 7 was classic, unfortunately the memory is better than the reality. Watched them again a couple of years ago and they were dreadful.

I nearly got to watch the series again on PBS over in the States, unfortunately I had to move fro San Francisco to Chicago after about three weeks and they weren't showing it there.

True, it looks quite dated, but Avon's humour withstood the test of time. A prime one to give the Battlestar "re-imagining" treatment to (but who would they get to replace Paul Darrow?).

I am not sure to be honest - where would they find such good actors, IMO anyone else but original won't cut it.

I IMDBd most of them a couple of weeks ago, and it doesn't look like they're very busy

Have to disagree there. I didn't want to see it again for that reason, then gave into temptation and bought the video of the first episode (which I'd never seen), really enjoyed it and ended up with the complete set. Okay, so you have to make some allowances for the time and general cheapness of it, but it's still much much better than the crap SciFi the BBC are currently making IMO.

Loved the original V mini series (have the DVDs), but I've tried to watch some of the TV series on SciFi again and not been able to get into it. But it is better than the Logan's Run TV series.

If Blakes 7 is the same as Wolf 3D engine based PC game, then it's pretty crap.
