If the investor is just you then you should be confident in your own code or else no point.
If you mean other investors then it is rather foolish to even hope to get investment money early in the dev cycle - valuations are crap and this almost always leads to failure.Comment

No valuations needed. This is version 2 of something I did for them about 5 years ago, except easier, nicer and more cost effective.
Unit tests are great for nailing those whack-a-mole bugs anyway.Serving religion with the contempt it deserves...Comment

I only use unit tests for very very frequent used functions in common library that I share between many apps: having subtle bugs in it bites hard.Comment

That's what I'm doing. Only the core business engine and some of the workflow stuff is unit tested i.e. the stuff that will cost money or increase risk if it shats.Serving religion with the contempt it deserves...Comment
