Wigan....be honest....anything worth seeing?

For reasons I won't go into, I may be required to spend a few days in Wigan next month.

Tis an area of our beautiful country that I have never really visited before, and I was wondering if the panel
can offer any advice on what to see/do?

Or should I just head into Liverpool instead?

Mmm i went there once nothing much to see. Liverpool has improved vastly over the years.

The old man operates out of the end cubicle in gents at Wigan Wallgate on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Other than that, Liverpool is your best bet.

Oddly enough, after doing a search on the "Top things to do in Wigan", it never featured at all.

May take a look though, but it looks like it will be Liverpool for the most part.

I believe there's a sign that says "You are now leaving Wigan". That's always worth seeing.

Spent 2 1/2 years working there 3-4 days per week staying in the hotel above JD Weatherspoons. Hmmm, can't think of a single thing! Take in a Wigan Athletic game.... Maybe don't do that actually! There is a cracking curry house called The Raj, that's worth a visit.
