Would also be interesting to compare if a similar survey had been done, say 40 years ago, with 3 generations, and maybe 40 years before that. How many times would the youngest generation be considered lazy and self obsessed and the older ones be seen as less adaptable?
Indeed. Although there may be factors unrelated to age in every generation. Early generations were supposedly more likely to be criminals due to lead in petrol. There also does seem to be summit going on at mo. among the young, high levels of depression and anxiety, self harm etc. Internet maybe?

    Interesting thing here:

They don't go out, they live their lives alone on social media, they are frightened of everything. I'm afraid the human race (in the Western World anyway) is doomed.

I think it is because they are being made to grow up to quickly and maybe because they re exposed to all the ill's of the world a lot more than we were.

Wehn I was growing up you had the 6 o'clock and the ten o'clock news and it was mainly Uk based with a few major headlines from around the world.

Nowadays with 24/7 news feeds you hear about all the little social injustices along with the big issues - many things we would never have known about because there was just not the news coverage.

Maybe it is just that as a youngster growing up you felt the world was at your feet but nowadays it just seems like it is going to get worse and worse.

In addition they are sensitive snowflakes whose cloistered little world paid for by the bank of mum and dad is suddenly ripped away from them at the age of 21 and no one has taught them that actually life is a little bit sh!t
