oh dear: Accept free movement or EU will restrict single market access, Angela Merkel
I think you'll find she's be appropriately vague about "best possible access for British businesses to trade with and operate within", which is a conditional statement, based on her other objectives. Nothing about the same access, as I recall. It seems to me that you're projecting, rather than looking at this dispassionately. Either that, or you're still upset about the claims made during the campaigning period. Which is understandable, of course, because the BSE group was so measured in their counterclaims.
Interesting use of words, describing "not having a clue" as "appropriately vague", but I think you'll find the latter implies some degree of competence, which is clearly not in evidence in her case

Yes, I understand that you hate the Tories, passionately
Perhaps you'd care to opine on how Labour's unofficial (unsupported by Corbyn) two-tier visa strategy is compatible with unfettered access to the SM? Or perhaps you think that all politicians are equally clueless.

The vast majority of politicians are indeed equally clueless, and it isn't really a laughing matter given the extent to which we allow them to **** everything up
so let me get this straight we can't negotiate until we trigger article 50 but the EU can tell us incessantly what they won't agree to? How very civilized.

So you'd prefer to have Article 50 triggered and then get surprise news that EU won't give in on a number of very important things? It's a gesture of good will from EU side to say what they will NOT accept, so that those who make decision are under no illusions on what can be achieved, should they risk everything based on ADVISORY referendum with slim 2% margin.

We don't know what they will agree to, the dance doesn't start until March. With a bit of luck a few more EU countries will be getting uppity and the EU's arrogance will decrease.

Quite. So the logical position to take is to support the party that wants the least possible role for politicians.
Always knew that deep down you were a Tory (not this lot who are a travesty, but the Kenneth Clarke form of Toryism, probably the most succuesful chancellor ever)

I can't wait for the negs to start. Deep down you know it's a slow motion train wreck. Which is why your lot have moved the narrative from the "the Eu needs the UK a more than than vice versa" to "These bloody minded Eu people won't negotiate"
You'll need someone to Blame when it all goes tits up.
