          We're not technically good enough and haven't been for some time. It's only the press down here that seem to think we have a chance (either that or they simply enjoy building them up to knock them down - see Allardyce as a great example of that).

            You misunderstand. Murray has been improving for some time BUT Novak's run of form was so scintillatingly brilliant nobody was going to knock him off #1 until he drooped. Novak was an aberration the way Federer was. The standard of the top 4-8 has generally improved a lot of late so that makes Novak's dominance all the more crazy and Murray's recent forum all the more impressive.
