Of course, a real contractor shouldn't be financing a fancy new car but instead buying a cheap shed for cash to aid the building up of the warchest in minimum time. So consider paying cash for a proper tulipheap like a proper contractor, for example Aston Martin DB7 3.2 2dr
I went with PCP, I now own the car (59 Golf GTI) but with 4k owing on 0% credit card. It's a great car, does the job, only 65k on the clock but it'd be nice to get an Aston just to wind the permies up on client site.

He had a negative bluety on a quackhandle and was quadraspazzed on a lifeglug.
I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

I was always under the impression that PCP on an older car is a big no, no. But that's probably a discussion for a separate thread.

Going to the Tesla Showroom at Kungens Nytorv on Saturday, I'm already hooked, sooooo many of them here in Denmark, I'm just looking honest!
This thing rocketed to 250km/hr on the Autobahn in no time, in almost total silence, and you can get effectively 300 miles out of one for a fivers worth of leccy....

You don't need to go to such extremes to make permies jealous... just wash your car on a regular basis. That's often sufficient.
Not to put a damper on it, cause I've been eyeing one up as well, I wouldn't fancy my chances in a bend. Also would watch out as I've heard some negative things with regards to reliability.
Having said all that it has to be the ultimate gadget ...
Isn't a bend the Achilles heel of all American cars until shown otherwise.
As for the MX-5 I would also look at the Fiat 124 before deciding on getting one.
Aye ... bends and basic build quality. They are all really tulip - I speak from experience.
If you're buying a new MX-5, you're going to be past 25k for one that you'd really want. Plenty of good second hand stuff out there that won't drop over 10 grand in the first two years that you own it. Each to their own though.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist
