Virgin media broadband increase by £2.75

Letter through the door yesterday. So being the tightfisted Scot I got on the phone and told them I'm cancelling. They took back the increase and dropped the monthly fee by an additional £5 providing I agreed to a new 12-month deal. Fine.

Chancers the lot of them. I'll set about them you ken.

In other news a dozen eggs is cheaper than 12 single ones.

I knew we had common ground somewhere.

Their fees have gone up 60% in the last 5 years. All the others seem to be about the same though. I usually give up when I try to call them as it always takes over half an hour to get an answer.

I got the £3.49 increase letter. Phoned them immediately to cancel - phone, broadband, TV (Big Kahuna). Only been with them 3 months...

Should have said, the increase came 3 months after signing a 12 month contract in the first place. They broke the deal first.

I did the same with Sky TV. Eventually they called back with a nice discount.

When I gave notice to BT broadband they didn't give a tulipe, which suited me fine because Sky Fibre was being offered at a really good deal.

                  They processed the cancellation.

If they don't blink I'll go with Vodafone or back to...........Sky

Best way is to phone up and cancel. They would offer you some good discounts, note them down but don't agree and go ahead with cancellation. Wait for a couple of days till you get a phone call from retentions team. I was offered same package, but £16 cheaper Don't tell them which car you drive and which IB you work for. You just tell them you are broke and can't afford.
