Mostly a winner, believe it or not, but he's far too modest to admit it. He does have quite a low boredom threshold, and a zero tolerance approach towards crap management (and there was certainly no shortage of crap management). Also he tends to overreact to incidents of petty thievery (such as certain unnamed persons pilfering bits of his beloved test network setup )
His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

I can't work out why so many contractors start a new role in this way. Perhaps it's because I'm not in a 'techy' environment - these people are generally project managers who will personally achieve very little so are already setting out their stalls.

I prefer a more cautious approach to my first few weeks in any new role - I like to assess the lay of the land before I come out of my shell.

Perhaps I should try the gobby approach like you lot probably do...
How unfortunate to find yourself working with AssCretin & MF at the same place.

I know you were, and I answered honestly. Sorry if it wasn't the answer you were hoping for, but in the real world, some people are actually (mostly) normal, but show them a keyboard and they get a bit gobby. MF definitely falls into that category, and if I'm completely honest, on occasion, so do I. And no doubt, so do you...

Maybe, but some us are gobby in real life also, I would say I actually fall into that category.

I thought it was your ability to buy a round.

Oh and yes, can vouch for MarkyMark speaking his mind. Can't ever see him having "UN diplomat" on his cv.
