    Them crazy Germans

Angela Merkel's CDU 'suffers Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania poll blow' - BBC News

Angela Merkel's ruling CDU party has been beaten into third place by an anti-immigrant and anti-Islam party in elections in a north-eastern German state, partial results have shown.

The Alternative fuer Deutschland (AfD) party took about 21% of the vote behind the centre-left SPD's 30%.

The German chancellor's CDU was backed by only about 19% of those who voted, according to the partial results.

The vote was seen as a key test before German parliamentary elections in 2017.

You think a far right lining Germany would be good for Breckxit?

No, of course not. But unlike you, he can at least comprehend what has brought them to this point.

I think the problem is that the increased immigration of 'muslims' coupled with the increased terrorist threat from ISIS - a group which claim to represent muslims and Islam has caused people to be concerned.

And this is being seen in current trends

The french and the dutch are already starting to scrutinise and ban certain muslims 'rules' and 'traditions' and I do not think that is going to change.

The (completely valid) argument that 99.9% of muslims have no desire to cause violence is being overlooked by the fact that it leaves 0.01% who will not only commit cowardly violence against innocent people but they will also actively recruit other people to join them.

And the public are now starting to vote and say - we do not want this way of life in our community, it does not fit into what we want out community morals and standards to be.

And before the bleeding heart liberals start saying that 'our morals and standards' are poor then let me tell you that they are our morals, our standards and it is our country if you do not like it then leave.

Ah yes, Germany's Ukip, bunch of right wing nutters. Interestingly they're strong in the eastern part of Germany playing the anti-migration card yet these areas have the lowest amount of migrants in all of Germany and they're not taking anyone's jobs. Much like Sunderland which voted Brexit and having read many interviews with voters there, the migrant card also came up a lot yet they have one of the lowest migrant numbers around. Makes you wonder sometimes...

I just spent the weekend over in Leipzig, didn't see a migrant, or what one would think a migrant looks like but did see a lot of chavvy Germans slumming around drinking beer out of tins...probably AfD voters...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

maybe they are voting against immigration before it turns into Tower Hamlets?

Of course the areas with large Immigrant populations don't vote for Christmas.

I think I would rather live in Tower Hamlets than some of the places in Eastern Germany, in fact I'd rather live in Tower Hamlets than Sunderland.

I have no idea what your second sentence is meant to mean, do you?
