Have you tried reading the titles of the for sections rather than just hitting the first one? A 10 second scan of the contact should be enough to know what to do.
Of course I did, and there was nothing suitable. It is not a "technical" question or a "business" question as such. As is suggested previously, perhaps a new forum for "non buffoonery" would be a good idea.

Fair Enough. Thanks. I'll re-ask the same question.
If you are unsure then just stick it in whichever professional forum you think best. That way you won't get trolled and a friendly Mod will be quite happy to move it.

Or even copy it to the Business/Contract forum.

Thanks for the serious reply. I have been contracting for 15 years, as a dev. I have seen many a project succeed and many fail; of those that failed most have little or no project management.
Many projects fail even with half decent project managers. PRINCE2 (like ITIL, Agile, TOGAF etc) is all well and good on paper, but they rarely suit our clients to implement properly due to elongation of projects and additional resources to do it 'by the book'.
If you really want to make the transition from Dev to papershuffler and master of the spreadsheet then have a read of PRINCE2 for Dummies (seriously) and if make it to the end with the will to live intact then go for one of the training providers to get the ticket. (qa.com, The Knowledge Academy, etc) but as someone else mentioned, without the experience you might struggle to get a decent PM gig.

Senior management not having a clear strategy/roadmap, not providing clear direction, not able to make decisions quickly, not committing to budgets etc etc - all reasons why projects fail, regardless of whether PMs are half decent or not.

I have decided to get certified in Prince 2. I need to take an online certification, and am currently comparing courses from SPOCE and e-Careers, both almost identical and the same price.
Has anyone had any experience with either of these providers?
Has anyone taken the Prince 2 Foundation and Practitioner courses?
Thanks.
SPOCE are good - I have used them and would recommend them. As per other replies here, check out the other threads on this that are sensible.

Projects fail for many reasons, but (I think) if using a decent project management method is taking longer (overall) then it is not adhering to the principles. Principle 7 of Prince 2 is Tailor to Suit the Environment. My problem is that projects seem to struggle and take longer because there is no planning, and no change control. People try to implement Agile but it ends up as Agile done badly with random requests being added to a never ending requirements list, with no impact analysis or prioritization whatsoever.
