    The story of Greenland.

UK and the EU: How to make a Brexit - BBC News

Greenlandic fishermen resented being told by Brussels how much fish they could take out of their own waters and watching their fish stocks being hoovered up by EU factory trawlers.
Absolutely, f***ng Brussels telling them what to do and stealing their fish. Good for them, they voted out....

oh whoops here come the EU factory trawlers again

In return for allowing continued European access to its waters, Greenland was given tariff-free access to the Community market for fisheries products.
...and after 30 years hark, what do we hear ?

Interestingly, Henrik now wonders whether the time might be right for Greenland to consider rejoining the EU, as it would give Greenland access to even greater markets like Japan and China.
...right so now's the time to rejoin the EU.

    I'm alright Jack

Greenland's capital Nuuk has a population of 17,000. London is the leading financial center in the world.

Are you honestly making a comparison in circumstance between us and Greenland?

You have made a serious application for the CUK all time cretin award.

London could end up like the IOM. Banks being a brass plate on the doorway and a room with a few servers and routers, and zero staff. Everything else run in India, Philippines and Panama.

Aren't they going to end up like that anyway?

                  I'm surprised it isn't higher.

We are coming from a rational perspective of wanting to trade. The EU is still in the anger phase and wants to makes us pay for having the audacity of thinking for ourselves and leaving. We would be in a better position if we had never been in. Still, we may yet get a hard Brexit if the EU can't get over being dumped. Better than staying in though

What a load of tosh. The UK isn't coming from a "rational position of wanting to trade", it's coming from a "have my cake and eat it" position of wanting full trade without freedom of movement.

You're like the trophy wife that's never worked, has whinged all the way through the marriage, wants a divorce but still wants to keep the house and car.

The UK already has it's trade agreement with the EU and has simply torn it up. Don't you think it is rational that they defend their own interests ?

Are you suggesting that the UK is rational but the other 26 countries aren't, sounds like what a patient in the "funny farm" would say
