AFAICR a game is cancelled if more than three players are sent off per side so there must be a market for first game in this to happen.

I'm going for Saints v Watford.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

I think this appointment is so wrong, it might actually go right...

I think you got to look how he sets out his shop when he goes to clubs. He brings in a lot of specialists in the door to work out plans to get average players playing a little bit better with diet, etc. This is all done over the course of months of planning and working with players. At England, he will only get a week or two with the squad. He isn't as tactically astute as people credit him for, just ask the Newcastle fans. He came from Bolton and couldn't adapt his tactics which ultimately got him sacked.

The most successful manager in recent English times was Bobby Robson, a brilliant man manager and very tactically aware. It is something England need to go for again. Personally, I reckon only a few people could of done this job in the world. Hiddink, Benitez and Mourinho.... I would have chosen Redknapp over big Sam.

Whoopty fookin do, welcome to the 21st century.

Now we just need a video ref to undermine the mini :nazi: in black when he cocks up and costs the game through either a bad decision (no one can see everything accurately in real time from all angles) or being so arrogant the facts don't seem to matter.

Just do it ffs. I thought we'd got rid of the corrupt blatters that said "we can't do it because we want the game to be the same all the way down to the school playing field", or "it would stop the flow of the game". Anyone really fall for that bollox?
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.

Whether that's what he actually said, or whether that was reportedly what he said, that is the question.

Darren Anderton, apparently, swore on the restorative powers of Eileen's healing hands.

Which may go some way to explaining how he was always bloody injured.

Football should adopt the Rugby League rules on injured players, let the physios treat them on the pitch and the game carries on around them. Stops for head/serious injuries obvs.

That'll stop the rolling around on the pitch like they've been shot types.

One change would stop it all - do what rugby union does and bring in the law that only the captain can approach the referee. The only downside is that it makes it far more unlikely that your goalkeeper will be made captain.

Didn't he have some sort of controversy a few years ago, or was it his son? That might come back to bite him in the bum.
