I doubt it'll come to that. She's just trying to pull one over on Sturgeon and take the lead. She does not want to be seen as passive.

Sturgeon was already out in front whilst the Tory's were tearing themselves apart.

I hope Theresa explains things to her. Less than 2 years ago the people of Scotland voted by a substantial margin to remain as part of the UK. That means they then get the good and bad of all UK decisions from that point onwards.
In september 2014 it was widely known that there was going to be a EU Referendum with no guarantee of Remain winning, yet still 55% of Scottish voters chose to stay within the confines of the UK. That is a pretty clear mandate, so time for wee Krankie to STFU and get on with ordering paperclips or whatever the hell else she fills her days doing.

          Claptrap.

Scots voted in favour of remaining because we were told the best way to remain in the EU was to remain in the UK. Plus the uncertainties of currency.

If May wants the Scots to play ball Westminster will have to give full fiscal autonomy to Scotland.

I have been on record numerous times that this guy isn't real.

Only 67% of Scots even turned out to vote in the EU Referendum. One of the lowest turnouts per regional area. Of that 67% of those eligible to vote, around 62% voted to Remain. So roughly 42% of all potential Scots voters voted to Remain. An even smaller figure than voted for Independence the year before last.
The bottom line is that you are firmly connected to the rest of us come hell or high water, so time to stop your gurning and start looking for solutions instead of problems.

This is my favourite story of recent weeks...

Nicola Sturgeon's Brexit meeting is not quite what it seems to be ... and one of the consuls is a rat catcher from Paisley

IN the wake of the Brexit vote, Nicola Sturgeon poses proudly for an official photo at her emergency EU summit.

The picture of the First Minister with consuls and diplomats in the drawing room of her official residence at Bute House looks like a high-powered gathering on Thursday.

And the meeting with representatives of Italy, Poland, France, Romania, Spain and Germany may well help her aim of keeping Scotland in the EU.

Sturgeon had called a summit of EU consuls general to reassure EU citizens living here that they are still welcome. But more than half of those posing with Sturgeon and ministers Angela Constance and Fiona Hyslop in the Scottish Government’s photo are not diplomats at all.

They have only honorary titles, with little power or influence and usually no consular function. Some are Scots who have links to the countries which bestowed the title on them.

In fact, the honorary consul for Estonia is Iain Lawson, a rat catcher from Paisley whose link with the Baltic state began when he visited Tallinn with the Tartan Army in the 90s.

He is required to fly the Estonian flag on national holidays. Here’s a closer look at some of those honorary consuls.

                ● John Clifford, Austria. He’s a member of Edinburgh University’s general council business committee and a former councillor.

                ● Frank Gill, Netherlands. He is a partner in a legal firm in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

                ● Constantinos Hajivassiliou, Cyprus. A Glasgow surgeon.

                ● Iain Lawson, Estonia. An independent facilities services professional in Paisley.

                ● Peter Hillier, Luxembourg. A director at wealth management firm Cazenove Capital in Edinburgh.

                ● Yves Lemarchand, Belgium. Managing director at Experience Scotland Conference and Incentives.

                ● Craig Murray, Slovakia. In January, Slovak ambassador Lubomir Rehak tweeted that Murray had “no consular functions”.

                ● James Rust, Portugal. The lawyer is a partner in Morton Fraser LLP.

                ● Ana Wersun, Slovenia. A physiotherapist in Edinburgh.

Others in the picture do have official functions, such as consuls general Carlo Perrotta (Italy), Dariusz Adler (Poland), Emmanuel Cocher (France) Miguel Utray Delgado (Spain), Mark Hanniffy (Ireland), Jens-Peter Voss (Germany) and Romania’s head of consular office Mihai Delcea.

Only two thirds turned out. Only the majority voted. Eh?

In which case the whole Brexit vote is invalid since the turnout was so poor. I'm thinking you don't know how democracy works.

Well let me see. If you tally up the totals of all those that vote on a particular issue that is placed before the Electorate, and the results come out :-

For Independence 45%, For remaining as part of the UK 55%

For Brexit 52% For Remain 48%

Then that clearly gives you two very distinct Democratic results.

Bearing in mind you have patently been on the wrong end of both those results due to a heady mix of naivety and stupidity, I'd hazard a guess that the one of us that needs to brush up on "Democracy at Work" is currently located in Bavaria!!

Oooft! Just spotted the neg rep too. Truth hurting is it? Bwahahahahaha
