Cameron funded Kids Company, a UK charity, against ministerial and civil servant advice so that says a lot how he works.

Good thing he is going then. Anyone that would pour vast quantities of wonga in the direction of a fruitloop that dresses like a mad parrot deserves to be hoiked out of post at the first opportunity.

But his government is because they refuse to fund councils and schools sufficiently so social services and teachers can do their jobs properly.

Glad you mentioned Geldof, I was quite surprised to see him on the Remain side after what he said about the EU in 2003:

But Geldof was adamant that the EU was the greater villain for delivering just a small fraction of Ethiopia's staple needs and refusing, unlike the US and Britain, to supply any supplementary foods, such as oil, which give a balanced diet.

"The EU have been pathetic and appalling, and I thought we had dealt with that 20 years ago when the electorate of our countries said never again," he said. Warning that the "horror of the 80s" could return, he added: "The last time I spoke to the EU's aid people, they didn't even know where their own ships were. The food is there, get it here."

He said the US and UK had been generous, but called on the EU to "release whatever foods it can and get them here as a matter of urgency .... I can guarantee that everyone will not want to see the horror of what we saw in the 80s, and it will truly happen," he said.

Wonder what may have happened for him to change his tune like that?
His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

He's the same as Boris and Leadsom, both changed their minds as well.
