Seriously, I understand that you're upset, but take a step back for a second, and imagine the constitutional implications of what you're proposing, even if it were possible. You're a sensible chap, so I'm really quite surprised that you think there's a realistic scenario that we ignore this result. This is really no different than the conspiracy theories from the more loony Brexiters that you were mocking a couple of weeks ago.
Calm down, I don't think he's upset or taking this personally, just quoting the link ...
That stated I can see that the outcome will cause the rich to lose far more than the poor in this fiasco
Seriously? You really think that coming out of Europe will hurt the rich more than the poor? Wait until all FDI dries up and the few manufacturing jobs left are relocated to Spain to (1) access the single market and (2) avoid the high British minimum wage.
(2) can always be fixed of course, but not in a way that will benefit the poor.

Loads of British pensioners in Spain innit? Some employment for them!
You keep forgetting how Acts arise. The Executive is not going to put forward an Act that contradicts their stated position.

I'm not really upset at all. I don't live in the UK and I have a route to EU citizenship within 2 years. Also, I've been on the losing side of almost every political argument in my life so I'm well used to it. I don't even support the EU - I just wanted an alternative definition of the constitutional settlement on the ballot paper.
But this is an almighty cluster**** which was never thought through in advance and now needs to be managed. You need to understand that a conspiracy theory is a belief that there are shadowy forces in the background that pull the strings. I don't think the UK Constitutional Law Association fits into that category.
I understand how Acts arise, and they don't need government backing. That is clearly the normal route but these are not normal times.

I was referring to your assessment, not theirs. Call me old fashioned, but I think a Private Members Bill to nullify the result qualifies as, erm, a "shadowy force".
Anyway, we're probably not as far apart on this as you'd imagine. Anyone who thought this wouldn't result in a short-term crisis was deluded. All of the metrics that interest me are long-term.

That's fine for you and me as we aren't starting our careers.
