Did anyone see Paul Mason on sky news?

Baically Corbyn is supported and if you don't want him leading the party you can leave or be sacked by your local members.

He has to get on the ballot first - Kinnock had a challenge by Tony Benn and had to get nominated again. Chances are old grizzle guts won't get on it.

I think the moderates got legal advice on that and the consensus was that he has to go on the ballot again.

Absolutely. It's just wishful thinking from the Blairites. Next stage: an orchestrated deselection of the Blairite MPs by Momentum.

Next stage: New Tory leader gets scared of calling a GE as they see Labour has imploded and the opposition will be UKIP lead by Farage.

UKIP are pretty much dead after this IMO. If you listen to what the working classes (traditional Labour) are saying, the UKIP vote is a conditional vote. I expect they won't really turn out for the next GE, sadly.

It's going to be difficult to beat Boris now (again, sadly, because I think he will be a disaster, if I'm honest). The 1922 Committee is now operating to a compressed timetable of 10wks or less (new leader by 2 Sept.), so it's pretty much May vs. Boris, but without much time for May to build momentum. The provisional GE is 13 October (very provisional). That doesn't give time for Labour to do much.

Boris was the worse Mayor of London as he did SFA.

By the way, I wouldn't be surprised to see Carswell defect back to the Tories.

UKIP said they were going no where yesterday.

Farage's aim is to become an MP.

                    Carswell doesn't like Farage.

I thought he was OK, viewed from the outside, but mainly because he had some decent people around him. He is the opposite of a details person though (i.e. Hamface and May), and a details person is precisely what we need to negotiate our departure.
