The Tories and all parties have a get out clause it's called the Fix-Term Parliament Act 2011. Careful negotiated by the Tories and Lib Dems.

If a vote of no confidence is called on the government and they lose, then if the government doesn't win a second vote in 14 days, only then can parliament be resolved.

Governments don't tend to lose votes of no confidence if they have a majority.

Well, Switzerland isn't such a bad place, I suppose.

Brexiters got mandate to form Govt from Tory party and show us Bremainers how great it will be
Tories don't want a leader that divides their party.

IDS was told to step down by the parliamentary Tory party when he was leader as he had annoyed the parliamentary Tory party.

Johnson has rubbed other Tory MPs up the same way. This is what Major was warning Johnson about.

In theory they could but I doubt most had a postal vote.

Labour MPs with seats outside London don't with him in charge.

He's got a vote of no confidence coming up.

Labour need to think strategically. Corbyn isn't going anywhere until he has lost a GE. They've been delusional for some time now in thinking that this is a problem of leadership. It isn't. It's a problem of representation. According to polls, only 70% of Labour voters that voted for Millipede would vote for Corbyn. The mistake is believing that this is because of Corbyn. It isn't. It's because of Labour. The mood changes quickly, as in Scotland.

Anyway, the Fixed Term Parliament Act is a mere technicality, introduced to shore up the coalition. Everyone understood at the time that it was all presentation, no substance.

It would be a pity if Boris avoids any responsibility for his actions
