What the UK did on the 23rd was a mighty slap in the face to our fellow Europeans. Scotland what no part of that. Nicola was quick to act, to make it clear members of the EU are welcome in Scotland.

No it was an admission that we didn't want to sleepwalk into something that we blatantly had no control of. The behaviour of the unelected members of the EU ensured we would do it.

The commission seems to think that the rest of Europe will STFU and carry on into their new world order but I wouldn't bet on that.

They seem to think that Germany France and Italy can handle losing us as trading partners just so that the EU can wait until we can beg to be let back into their trading block for a heavy price....
