I packed in contracting in November 2014 (never say never but no intention of going back).
It's been said hundreds of times per year since I started in '94 that contracting has changed and is fu**ed. I genuinely believe that it is now. A few people will still make reasonable money at it, but in general terms it's fu**ed.When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply.....Comment

I'm now a corner shop keeper (decided to take a job from a Bob as a cheap form of revenge) Much happier, less stressed, less well off admittedly , but I don't have to answer to anyone and I travel 3/4 of a mile to work every morning. If I have a client I don't like, I tell them to get the f**k out (although I kinda did that anyway).Last edited by TestMangler; 7 June 2016, 22:22.When freedom comes along, don't PISH in the water supply.....Comment

So just summarising your position. You've dicked clients around by jumping ship, you've had 5 years of end to end gigs including a 'dream' gig and are now crying like a spoilt girl because you've failed a 3 stage interview (which isn't unheard of) and you are facing a bit of bench time.
That about right?'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!Comment
