I'm going to be visiting Canada this year for a holiday and also to check the country out with a view to possibly emigrating there.

I have a family member living there who calls herself my sister.
Most jobs are based around Toronto and it's suburbs. Average pay for contracting. Don't expect UK rates.
Cold, wet and the works comes as BAU. Quality of life is much better than in the UK. You can own a massive house for much less than what you pay in the UK.
That said, green grass, fence, otherside and all that tulip.
Don't think it's all cold and wet. We recently watched the film "Roxanne" (Steve Martin with the big nose remake of Cyranno de Bergerac) and looked up where it was shot - British Columbia!
