The idea is that since the split was voted down over concerns that Scotland would have to apply to join the EU, there would be a mandate for a re-run.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation! -

Why do you think most MP's area all for the EU? It's because once their lacklustre careers are over, or they get shown the door, they'll be given a nice cushy role on some commission or other in Brussels on 300,000 Euros/year to discuss introducing more directives about cucumber minimum diameters.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_trade_area
The aim of a free-trade area is to reduce barriers to exchange so that trade can grow as a result of specialisation, division of labour, and most importantly via comparative advantage. The theory of comparative advantage argues that in an unrestricted marketplace (in equilibrium) each source of production will tend to specialize in that activity where it has comparative (rather than absolute) advantage. The theory argues that the net result will be an increase in income and ultimately wealth and well-being for everyone in the free-trade area.Last edited by diseasex; 2 June 2016, 12:02.Comment

Only 6% of UK Small Businesses export or import within Europe. The other 94% don't give a flying tulip, but still have to operate by their rules.Originally posted by diseasex View PostOriginally posted by Nigel Farage MEP - 2016-06-24 04:00:00"I hope this victory brings down this failed project and leads us to a Europe of sovereign nation states, trading together, being friends together, cooperating together, and let's get rid of the flag, the anthem, Brussels, and all that has gone wrong."Comment

As far as I can tell the sum total of EU rules my company has to operate by is those two extra boxes on the VAT return. And I've always left them blank, as will any business that doesn't import and export in Europe. Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment
