I've known the same too, but what do you do? You can't stop working now just in case you might pass away early, unless of course you have no responsibilities, no kids to worry about etc.

Perhaps the moral of the story is to work hard/smart but also live a little whilst on the journey.

I've never understood the point of planing to do something later in life when body starts to fail on you and you've laboured the best years away. Madness.

Yes, I find the trick is to take 8 to 10 weeks holiday per year, and every few years to do a 3 day week for a year.

Agreed. Recently just accepted a part gig until Oct next year. I'm planning many long weekends in the next 12 months down to Italy and what not.
