I was mowing my lawn in a T-shirt, in Surrey. Next moment it was snowing. Cleared up and I had a braai? Weird, blame it on Brexit.

According to the Earth air current map there's currently (DOH!) an air current coming here directly South from Northern Greenland, with some input from the North coast of Russia!

Ditto, in Brum where it snowed, then sun came out, so cut the grass, then just as I finished, it snowed/rained/hailstones/sleet then sun came out again. Then a bit more snow. Then around 8pm there was some thunder & lightening.

Had some fairly heavy snowfall, but it's all gone now. A chilly 6°C in the city. Reminds me of London during May.

Turns out that what we had yesterday was Graupel. Which i'd never heard of either. I thought it was just large hailstones, though bizarrely soft. Not so, graupel is a snowflake covered in rime.
