There are no renewals, 6 months only. They made that clear at the start. The pimp of course told me this was a good client that has loads of contractors that always renews.

The client has a no contractor policy that they broke just for this project.

Then the project is doomed, work normal hours, do what you can, get you timesheets signed, invoice, move on.

          + 1

Just found out project I did't stay on last year when bang on Monday.

If you can't save it, get out and find something new. You might need someone to give you a phone referance, and they can't do that if there is no one left.

Do what you can and be professional but never ever sacrifice your health over the project, there are other gigs.

This is their problem escalate the issues up the chain and get them to make a priority call to either: descope, move the deadline or find more resource. If there is new work being discovered that was not scoped for the original deadline it's a Change Request and should be scoped and planned as such not squeezed into the current deadline. At worst suggest a second release post deadline.

The current project I'm on is going the same way overtime being offered to all, new testers, key resources being nicked from other teams yet because of poor scoping the work list is getting bigger the closer the deadline gets.

So I'm getting on with what I'm paid to do, highlighting issues and suggesting ways to fix them (If I can), and bouncing work not scoped as a Change Request. It's then up to others up the chain to make the call to either do.

Are you saying Suity is not capable of recording their verbal recommendation on magnetic tape cassettes?

                Just stop worrying.

If someone were to tell you off, just listen and nod as if they were talking about the weather.

                    I'll my advice as well:
work your 9-5 and don't care. It's not your business! No point stressing over others problems. Works for me, people putting pressure on me etc and I just do my job.

If you can do this during 9-5 the better, if not then thats their damn planning problem.
