My personal preference is Spain, but southern France would work for me too. I don't mind Cyprus, but sadly now it is merely an offshore playground for Russian criminals.

I'm sure there's lots of other places. Further afield, rural areas of New Zealand (the top of the North Island for better weather) near the beach.

They're not exactly very FAR north. Sheffield is slap-bang in the middle of the UK.

I know where I would go, I think the problem is many countries like Australia you would still need to work to live the lifestyle, your still in the rat race, you need to find a country with a much lower standard of living to be able to get out of the nine to five
