      most likely they had a permie who took them to the cleaners and they are being careful.

                  It means they have been sued and lost/had to settle over racial and/or religious discrimination.

                  It doesn't mean that you are not allowed to stand up against behaviour like this even if the people involved are the same culture.

                    The problem is not only the racial or religion, could be just the behavior they want to impose, can be very annoying, belive-me.
