Brexit: how do you think the UK will vote?

It's a statement of fact. In many ways driving is more relaxing here than in Northern California, but the excess of caution and needless courtesy can be irritating. Not to mention the people who feel the need to cross multiple lanes to overtake me when I'm driving in the middle of three lanes "oh no, someone's not following the rules on an empty motorway!"

I'm voting out and have my fingers crossed but I'm not hopeful.

I honestly believe an in vote will be catastrophic for the UK.

How can it be catastrophic not to change anything? At worst we might have a slow decline, the EU has a lot of inertia...

Crippling debt is partly a result of high house prices due to immigrants. Though there are other factors.

Well I'm an immigrant who took a skilled job from someone. But I didn't ask for the Child Tax credit - those fools just gave that tulip to everyone.

The problem is we don't have any control over which ones we get. Australia for example has pretty tough immigration rules based on:

1. Age
2. Education
3. Skills and work history
4. Criminal checks to prevent known criminals
5. Health checks to prevent health tourism and spread of disease
6. Sponsorship for work
7. Minimum amount of money to bring in (held in a govt bond) incase they fall on hard times

All we ask as a country and fair minded people, is that we in the UK can apply the above rules to anyone wanting to settle here. Simple as. Those that meet the requirements are more than welcome here and get our full support.

Under non elected EU rule we get what we are given, and there's nothing we can do about it.
