    So companies will spend their reserves. By investing money abroad.

    They should have introduced exchange controls too.....

      The whole mess could have been avoided if the governments used QE to invest in construction / infrastructure projects instead of the banks. It was an obvious move.

        Japan did this, they ended up with 5 motorways each, no real economic progress, 90% negative equity in property and deflation for 20 years.
