You aren't allowed to close Borders.

However you are allowed to interrupt EU law to suit yourself. Unfortunately unlike the rest of the EU countries the UK is tulip at doing this.

          London is a Foreign City

Someone has a book to sell but interesting in that it highlights all the stuff that gets swept under the carpet like the poor sods who get lured here by criminal gangs to become slaves.

Legal workers also have problems because the sheer number of new arrivals push down wages.

A Polish builder explains that, on his work site, the English builders tell him angrily they used to be paid £15 an hour. Now it is £7 an hour. ‘They hate me,’ he says simply.

But then he gripes about the newly-arrived Romanians who, he says, are pushing wages even lower.

Tragically, politicians appear blissfully oblivious to the new realities. They solemnly debate the merits of a ‘living wage’ over the minimum wage.
unfortunately it was obvious when they started.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

I know I'm only a builder... At the moment I'm building an IT suit in London... But what I can't get my head around is something that a lot of Euro leaders don't seem to understand.

They are saying that they won't accept the premise of immigrants not getting benefits such as Child tax credits and family allowance for a set period, because it's probably propping a few people up in their home countries. My view is that if the realtives don't live here then it's right that they don't get family allowance, they shouldn't get other benefits either until they pay into the system. It was never meant to feed your kids back in Romania and be used to give them a good life, it was supposed to be a support structure until you got back to work. The whole point should be that they come here to work, not take us for all they can get.

But if Cameron doesn't get something concrete that he can take to the people for the referendum there is a real risk that the Uk could pull out of the EU. At that point they won't have a say AT ALL. Borders will be borders again. That will be it. They can come in if we let them, not because they are part of the EU. No more "right" to come here.

It's really not that simple, but that's what they don't seem to be grasping. Cameron has gambled big time on this. It may well go gent shaped on him. He's set his time frame.

Either they simply don't believe that Cameron is serious (I don't either, he's a prime tosser and con man as far as I'm concerned) or they are really mis-judging the feeling of the nation as a whole.

              Risky strategy.

We all know Cameron is a bit thick, probably the public school education buggered up his ability to think straight as can be seen here:

David Cameron hasn’t the faintest idea how deep his cuts go. This letter proves it | George Monbiot | Opinion | The Guardian

                And does it again:

The issue is the government, present and previous, are to toothless to change the rules on benefits as it will affect British people who live abroad.

Who cares about them they've emigrated, why should they get to benefit if they don't live here ?
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Cameron's just the usual chinless europhile Tory. And that's bad enough.
