A lack of literacy and a political theology disguised as a religion make for the best control mechanism known to man.

On the other side of the world, you've got the US Marines motto of "For God, Corps, Country". Again, that implies that a supposedly secular country (In God We Trust, right?) is still controlled by religion and politics.

No religion at all brings us closer to world peace, but for that there needs to be move to getting America to embrace a scaling down of conventional arms too.
