You do realise when you kill scum like that they become martyrs.

Locking them up for life in prison where other prisoners will avoid them, their families are ashamed to visit them so will avoid doing so regularly and they have no hope of coming out leaves them with absolutely nothing. If you want to make someone's life a living hell kill their hope.
