I think in terms of overall population we can handle far more people, it's the rate of growth and the fact we're having to react to it rather than plan for it that means everything is creaking.

And of course, the entire cultural concept of Britishness risks erosion but then people are split on whether this is a good thing, or a vibrant multi-culture is preferable (I am more a traditionalist myself and like our quaint sillinesses even though they're not always cost effective).

We end up with zones of different mono-cultures. Not very vibrant either in a lot of cases.

We would like your engineers, It specialists, scientists and doctors, more English speaking builders ( very few will move from their "secure" jobs). I have no problem with the poles - the women have a bit too much "attitude" in a positive way!

Should we really be assimilating your population into the UK? Although they are really good at their jobs It is not good for bright graduates to work in low level jobs in retail, bars etc. it would also be much healthier if there was two way traffic.

Yes, this is the problem, the immigrants aren't evenly spread, they chose to live in the SE, in and around London and other big cities like Brum and Bristol.

So the population density is crazy in these regions, public services and transport are truly overloaded and quality of life is falling for everyone.

more population = more revenue for business = bigger economy = more money for those lucky chosen ones. You get your gigs in banks which are profiting on newcomers setting up accounts or taking out insurances , homes you name it...

See how healthy you feel half way into a Polish winter

Mind you, I suppose one gets used to freezing weather after a while.

I actually miss the snow , skiing , or throwing snowballs on each other in -40 freeze.

Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

I think I would rather move to Poland than live in a UK with 100 million people
