    Danke schon. Works better when spoken. Given they're pronounced the same by Brits, it doesn't matter when writing and I'm certainly not getting my umlauts out for anyone.

      Every year I say to the pretend German;

      "I've been waiting ages for my sausage, is the wurst yet to come?"

      Never gets a laugh, either cos the person is not German (most seem to be Romanian or Hungarians) or the person really is German and has no sense of humour (likely).

      Who won the bloody war anyway......?
