Sorry, but if you wanted to make a point you should have chosen another examples of unacceptable behavior, not some harmless eating and drinking habits. It's not these habits that is the problem.

I don't think its the arab, I think it's the idea. It's an idea that we have seen before , a Totalitarian intolerance that this time, has taken root in many muslims minds. It has manifested most notably in German nationalism Soviet dictatorship amongst others.

We can either root it out and destroy it which will cost us blood and our treasure. We can wait it out, till it withers and it self destructs which will take a lot of time.

Quite. Extremism is a relative thing. Those living among others who go just part of the way towards their own views will see themselves as less abnormal and extremism is more likely to flourish.
