I find it really amusing someone who's regularly posted about 'maintaining' or 'protecting' their rate is now whimping on about taking a 20% cut for their 'dream' role.

True comedy gold, you couldnt make some of this stuff up.

4 days at the same rate isn't a problem - it's 20% off the daily rate and a 4 day week.

Put it this way - Once I am in there I can't see myself leaving. May even go perm somewhere down the line.... includes lots of perks too.

That's what I was wondering...
20% lower than a 5 day week is a 4 day week.


The questions I would ask:
1. Can you afford to take a 20% cut (whatever you mean by that)
2. If you can't afford it, but it is a dream contract, can you reduce your outgoings to make it affordable?
3. If you can't afford it and can't reduce your outgoings, how do you plan to fund your lifestyle?

Ah it's all affordable so long as you are above the bog standard 350/day contracts that are out there these days. To be honest I could get by comfortably on 300/day and still have savings at the end of the month.
