Great close up pics. The lion through the bush is fairly menacing.
Two friends of mine are visiting SA on holiday, but not not visiting Kruger or seeing any animals. Unbelievable! I tried to talk them into it over some beers but failed to persuade.Comment

the night vision pics are now available
this sequence was taken in the pitch blackness. elephants are surprisingly quiet when moving about, even at night.
I didn't hear this guy, even though he was less than twenty feet away, I spotted him with the NV whilst panning the river below. He went up and down the lekky fence, then he hears me. probably opening a fozzies.
He stares right at my position and his ears go up.
then, there are no prizes for guessing what this fellow is
